Software I use, gadgets I love, and other things I recommend.

I get asked a lot about the things I use to build software, stay productive, or buy to fool myself into thinking I’m being productive when I’m really just procrastinating. Here’s a big list of all of my favorite stuff.

Workstation

  • 13” MacBook Air, M2 (2022)

I currently work on the 13” MacBook Air with the M2 chip, which strikes the perfect balance between performance and portability. It’s lightweight, powerful machine with long battery life, making it ideal for on-the-go development. Whethere I’m coding, designing, or writing, this MacBook Air handles it all smoothly.

  • Mac Mini, M1 (2020)

The Mac Mini is the silent powerhouse on my desk. Compact yet incredibly capable, it serves as my primary desktop machine. It’s perfect for extended coding sessions, running development environments, and even doubling as a media server. Its versatility makes it a core part of my setup.

  • Apple Magic Keyboard

The Apple Magic Keyboard ties my workstation together with its sleek, wireless design. It’s comfortable for long typing sessions and pairs seamlessly with all my Apple devices.

Development tools

  • Neovim

Neovim is my text editor of choice, offering the power of Vim with modern enhancements. It’s fast, highly customizable, and makes coding an efficient and enjoyable experience. I’ve tailored Neovim to fit my workflow perfectly.

  • Alacritty

For terminal work, I use Alacritty—a fast, GPU-accelerated terminal emulator. It’s lightweight, simple, and focused on performance. Combined with Tmux, it becomes a powerhouse for managing multiple sessions and tasks within a single window.

Productivity & Browsing

  • Raycast

Raycast is my go-to alternative for Spotlight on macOS. It’s a blazing-fast launcher that streamlines everything from opening apps to running scripts. It’s the productivity tool that keeps my workflow efficient and uninterrupted.

  • Arc Browser

Arc is my preferred web browser. It’s fast, privacy-focused, and designed to make the web more enjoyable. With its innovative interface and features, browsing and managing tabs has never been easier.

Design

  • Figma

Figma remains my go-to design tool. Its web-based platform makes collaboration effortless, allowing my team and me to create and share designs in real time. Whether I’m designing interfaces or creating quick mockups, Figma just works.
